  What are some good books as good as Crisis of Convience or Journey to God's House which you can recommend?

  i know ttatt for a few years now (first thread was over 14 years ago) but i am still in.

  right now i have this hunger for peoples experiences who left the truth.

  especially those higher ups have a lot of good stories to tell.

  i knew a man who went to meetings with his family year in year out and clearly didnt want to be there, he was upset by various changes in doctrine I was told and his protest was a silent one of stoic non participation.

  Eventually he died. I'm not sure what his point was in going all those years or what he was hoping to avoid in doing so, but it was a pitiful sorry waste in any case. He earned good money, had a good job, had a nice home and a seemingly pleasant family. Maybe his wife wore the trousers.

  if you are still in after 14 years your choice of username wasnt very fitting, you had good intentions but didnt follow thru. It's not too late you know, but waiting for the right time is a futile exercise as there is never a right time.

  the wife leaves it all around, not sure if this is by design i don't think so since the return to jah brochure was never left out.

  it drives me a bit nuts but haven't done anything about it.

  looking for ideas on what i should do?

  He no longer exists is incorrect. He never existed any more than all the other man made gods did.

  If you think he did, then stump up some damn good evidence. By evidence, I mean more than the edited, redacted, altered propaganda of ancient desert dwelling goat herders with their own agenda.

  A memorial about 6 years ago was my last ever meeting, i went to appease my mother, but she made a good point in that i had missed 3 months of meetings by then and to miss the memorial would seem too final and would send the wrong message.

  I reluctantly agreed with that assessment and went, i sat in the back row with other misfits and had a laugh, the mental relief of knowing it was my last ever meeting was fantastic.

  I havent set foot in a kingdumb hall since and intend to keep it that way.

  Freedom is worth it.

  Ladies: Circumcision or not?

  the topic of circumcision has been brought up a few times recently.

  then i wondered... .

  how do women really view circumcision?

  I wasnt circumcised but have a small foreskin so i have the best of both worlds.
  

  The stimulation angle is that with an exposed glans will get desensitised a bit by being rubbed on clothing etc over time, but it is very minimal and probably an advantage sexually to have it dialled back a little anyway.

  As long as the man keeps it all cleaned properly it really wont make a difference. there's the aesthetics obviously and i think a small foreskin with exposed glans is the right combo functionally and aesthetically, but then i am biased.

  somehow i imagine the new heaven and new earth being a let down full of flawed characters, especially if they're jws.

  Don't know who currently owns it though.

  No, that is archived material, (although i can see how it gives the impression it is for sale again now.)

  BEWARE - More force adding on FB

  they are doing it again.. a new group trying to boost membership is adding people without permission.. "ex-jehovah's witnesses aka behind the veil of jw.org" added me this afternoon.

  they were bragging about how quickly they grew to over 2000 members.

  i quickly exited the group.
